New function
Hey guys...Thankyou SO MUCH for supporting PowerPC Macs. I love TenFourFox and hope you keep developing it. There are two things I'd like: Is there a possibility you could develop a break function for displaying sites that use Flash? I mean in Chrome there's a feature called private browsing where they seem to break a browser window from the normal preferences of the browser to theoretically allow you to browse the web anonymously...while I know this feature is probably bunk, but the idea of being able to access a separate set of tools outside of the browser from inside your safe browser seems like something that would satisfy a fair number of TFF users. For me sites like IGN, that have flash loaders for their video content forces me to launch Safari or go search for the Youtube mirrored content to watch short 1-5 min. videos. A lot of times I'm spending 5 minutes on a work-around to watch a 1 minute video. A separate Flash enabled min-browser accessible from TFF would be handy.
Now this is more of a general computing question, but if it was accessible from TF that would be great to. Is there any way you would consider writing an iPhone/iPod disk mounting utility? Historically iPods mounted as hard drives allowing users to efficiently manage their data, but Apple eliminated that functionality leaving users locked to using iTunes to manage data. iTunes for PowerPC don't support idevices there are utilities that support mounting iDevices on Macs but they don't support the PowerPC architecture. To me this is just another marketing driven set of decisions to force "obsolescence" onto perfectly working computers. I know it's a lot to ask, but I figured I'd throw it there.
Be Safe,
Happy New Year!

Although Firefox (and TenFourFox) have private browsing support, this isn't the same thing as a sandbox, which is actually what you're requesting. While there is some limited sandboxing support in 10.5 (but not 10.4, which is the primary support focus), it doesn't appear to work fully with Power Macs, and it has known security problems which won't be fixed either. More to the point, because the plugin API has changed radically since TenFourFox 17, even if the sandbox issue were resolved it would still be substantial work (with no guarantee that it actually would work) to restore plugin support.
The bottom line is, if you must use Flash on your Power Mac (and there is a good reason not to: see http://tenfourfox.blogspot.com/2014/07/clearing-up-misconceptions-a... ), the safest way is probably to use it in a completely separate browser like you're doing. Even that, however, is not fully safe, because plugins run in system context.
In regard to your second question, while I empathize, I stopped using iPhones personally when Apple dropped iTunes support for 10.4. I have an iPhone for work, but it doesn't connect to any of my computers and never will. My personal device is an Android Nexus 5 which can be connected using MTP-compatible utilities or Bluetooth.
