Firefox plugin YouTube flash to HTML 5.0
I just installed this plugin available right in Firefox in both my Mac Pro quad running Mountain Lion, and in my Power Mac G5 using TenFourFox latest release. In each machine, I used the appropriate Adobe Flashplayer uninstaller to completely take Flashplayer out of both computers. The Adobe test site confirmed that Flashplayer was not installed (both machines tested). Returning to YouTube, I started trying videos. I'd land on some that would say 'you require a plugin' etc.., but when I used command key-R to reload the page, the video would load and it played beautifully. So far, both machines are playing everything I've landed on. No Flashplayer!

The extension plays monetarized videos in the browser that would normally require the Flash player. Excellent suggestion! I didnt' even need to reload the page, just waited a few seconds and it started playing the HTML5 version right after the plugin warning.
I guess it's doing something similar to what we discussed in this thread:

It seems to be well-maintained (it must be, since YouTube keeps changing its code) and has mostly positive user reviews. I think we might recommend this to users officially.

I can always put Flash back into my Mac Pro, but I'm thrilled to have the functionality with my G5 and TenFourFox.
Lets hope it holds!
