Hello John, looks like you have a network problem. Next time you can't connect to Youtube, can you try another browser and see if it works there? Is Youtube the only site you can't connect to?

Hello Chris, youtube is working with safari or vienna. Right now , yes, youtube is the only site TenFourFox can't connect to.

Did you specify a proxy server in Preferences>Advanced>Network>Connections? Do you have add-ons installed that might interfere? (You can test this by restarting the browser with add-ons disabled, see Help Menu).

I use "system proxy settings" in Preferences. I tried with "no proxy" and it is the same result.
I use 2 add-ons. I tried with disabled add-ons and again, same result.

Seems fine here, and I do use a proxy.

What's the exact URL you're trying to access?

Weird. What happens if you click e.g. this link to a video?

I use TenFourFox 24.5.0, but it is the same.
I got the same message: "Firefox can't etablish a connection at"

There were no changes in 24.5.0 that would affect this specific situation, and all the test systems pull up YouTube just fine. I would strongly advise a profile reset at this point or looking at your local settings (see How to reset your profile at the lower right).

I have tried the "clear your profile manually" option.
I still have the same behavior from

Unless Chris has any other ideas, I'm afraid I don't have any other suggestions for you. I'll leave the ticket open in case this specific problem affects other users, but I don't know of any right now.

I'm out of ideas as well regarding TenFourFox itself. Except creating a new OS X user and starting the browser from there, or trying a completely different Mac.

If TenFourFox doesn't load Youtube with a completely fresh, default Firefox user profile, it's appears that there's something wrong with the OS or network setup that affects TenFourFox but not other browsers.

I found out. I have set Little Snitch to enable 2 addresses:
    - -

    Now it works fine here.
    Thank you for your support!

Thanks for sharing your solution. I'll keep Little Snitch in mind when troubleshooting network problems in the future.
