<p>click on the Apple in the top left corner of your screen. Choose
"About This Mac…" A window will pop up telling you the amount
of memory installed, the processor type (G3, G4, G5), among others.
Click on "More Info…", then "ATA" to see how much disk space
you have available (also, any Finder window will show free disk
space in its bottom line).</p>
<p>If you have a G4 and need further help determining which type of
G4 you have, just ask.</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/260713172013-03-26T00:57:19Z2013-03-26T00:57:19ZMac OSX 10.4.11<div><p>It says 2 GHz IntelCore 2 Duo, Model: Optiaro DVDRW
AD-5630A,<br>
revision 1AHM. Then under "memory" it says 1GB 667 MHz DDR2 SD<br>
RAM. I don't know what all that means so my next question is, can
I<br>
install 10.4Fx and which processor do I have?<br>

processors (G3/G4/G5), and the newers ones (like yours) run with
Intel processors. TenFourFox is intended for PPC Macs. The "real"
Firefox can run on your Mac, only your Mac OS X version is a little
old. Now what can you do?</p>
<p>You could run our unsupported TenFourFox Intel build for 10.4
and 10.5 (<a href=
"http://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/wiki/IntelBuild">http://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/wiki/IntelBuild</a>),
but I'd rather recommend to upgrade your Mac to Mac OS X 10.6.8
(<a href=

and then run the latest Firefox.</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/260713172013-03-26T19:26:38Z2013-03-26T19:26:38ZMac OSX 10.4.11<div><p>thank you. You've been very helpful. I ordered Snow Leopard on
line<br>
and it will be delivered in about a week. After I install that,
I<br>
will come back to you to update Firefox. You have provided a
good<br>
service to me for many years and I'm glad I will be able to stay
with<br>
Firefox. I wish everyone there a Happy Easter and Passover.<br>

Is this problem
related to<br>
- TenFourFox, i.e. playing videos in the browser, - or to QuickTime
not being able to play some videos, - or to your G4 being too slow
to play some videos?</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/260713172015-05-15T03:21:00Z2015-05-15T03:21:03ZMac OSX 10.4.11<div><p>I have a macbook osx 10.4.11 running safari 4.1.3. I've been

you can upgrade your operation system to at least Mac OS X 10.6 and
run Firefox 38, which is the most up-to-date version.</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/260713172015-05-15T17:59:29Z2015-05-15T17:59:29ZMac OSX 10.4.11<div><p>that's amazing because the Apple store told me I'd need to

I<br>
did a while back; now I just have to remember their name! TY,

computer shop to get memory for your Macbook. The 10.6 install DVD
is still sold by Apple: <a href="http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard">

Before investing money, please make sure you really have an Intel
Mac. Click the Apple Menu top left on your screen and select "About
this Mac…". It will tell you which processor you have (Intel
or PowerPC).</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/260713172015-05-21T12:39:34Z2015-12-09T19:35:51ZMac OSX 10.4.11<div><p>I have the latest version of TenFourFox running on my G5.<br>
Recently I have had problems with the site <a href="http://www.runtimedna.com">http://www.runtimedna.com</a>. I think
they may have changed some of their coding recently - clicking on
items (such as "cart" no longer works, and some pages do not
display correctly. I also have the last version of Safari for OSX
10.4.11 and it exhibits the same problems. The other sites I use are
still running correctly.<br>
Could you have at look at their site and see if there's anything
you can do?<br>
Thanks.</p></div>shauntag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/260713172015-05-24T14:15:52Z2015-05-24T14:15:52ZMac OSX 10.4.11<div><p>Shaun, the issue you are having is different from the other
users in this thread. I am able to see the Cart button and click on
items on that site, so I assume the site is functioning normally (I
don't have a login and did not actually purchase items, however --
I can't help you in that case). If this is not the problem you are
experiencing, please open a new support ticket instead of appending
to this one.</p></div>Cameron Kaisertag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/260713172015-05-24T15:26:25Z2015-12-09T19:35:51ZMac OSX 10.4.11<div><p>I think the problem is that the webpage coding is updated and
changed<br>
- in effect leaving my version of Firefox and Safari behind.</p>
<p>I have checked with others and the site behaves correctly on
newer<br>
Macs (Intel).<br>
The headings disappear and the cart button can be seen but not<br>
clicked; on leaving a page other images (and the heading)
appear<br>
briefly.</p>

iffy the last few days. If you hit the reload button, it will most
likely work.</p>

open a new ticket since your issue is likely separate.</p></div>Cameron Kaiser
