Update problem

I have tried to upgrade from TenFourFox 38.10.0 to 45.4.0
It downloads fine onto my G3 Mac using OS 10.4.11
When clicked on to open up it attempts to open but fails and I am
just left with the high lighted icon and no tenfourfox software
open in my top tool bar.
What is going wrong?

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

Hello, what is downloaded to your G3 is a zip file. If downloaded completely its size should be 55.6 MB. Right-click the downloaded file, choose Open With… and then "BomArchiveHelper". It will uncompress into the actual application, which should be put into the Applications folder. Then double-click it o start TenFourFox.

Hi Cris,
Yes I have done all you say,I have checked in file info that the
download is complete. I have placed the application icon in applications
and have highlighted it and commanded open. the icon appears in my
launcher bar at the base of the screen,jumps up and down a few times and
then stops. Thats it, that is all that happens. I have tried dragging
the icon onto the desktop and launching it from there, same thing.
A thought, could it be that this version does not feel that my system is
compatible with that it requires? If so what does it require of the
system.

If TFF 38 ran ok on your system, 45 should do so as well. Are you sure you downloaded the G3 version, i.e. "TenFourFoxG3-45.4.0.app.zip"?

Assuming you did:
Start Console.app (it's in Applications > Utilities).
Click the Clear button (the broom).
Start TenFourFox 45.
Please paste what appears in the window after the browser exits. (DO NOT paste your entire log.)
