Just trying out the unstable 45.3.0.

Thanks for all your hard work folks!

Great to get the old G5 back up and running after my Macbook 3,1 just died.

Get this message from the BBC website: " If you want to try the BBC HTML5 Player you must opt-in

Sorry, we can only provide you with the HTML5 Player beta on Firefox v41 or above. To be able to use the new HTML5 Player, please update Firefox or use another browser."

Any ideas?

It all depends on the format of the video that's used in html5. If BBC used mp4 video your out of luck as tenfourfox dose not natively support it.

I'm having the same problem. If the BBC site doesn't see that I'm using v45 is there a tweak that can be done to show that I have v45?
Similar to using older versions of Flash and changing the version number?

You can use an agent switcher but it's unlikely going to work as I believe their would be some DRM involved in watching video from the BBC. Unfortunately for web videos if it's not on youtube it's more and more looking like you will have to abandon ship and go with a PC or Intel Mac to keep up with today's web sites for online video.

    Thanks Brian,
Very helpful, if a little disappointing.

this URL will get BBC3 live with either iTunes or QuickTimePlayer
but unfortunately not any of the play-it-again programs
