I run TFF 17.0.1 on a PowerMac Dual 2Ghz G5 PPC. I'm partitioned with 10.5.8 and 10.4.11, to run still needed (and money making) classic apps.
The 17.0.1 loaded on the 10.5.8 partition allows tabs on top or bottom, but 17.0.1 loaded on the 10.4.11 partition does not have a tab location selection in View/Toolbars

Hello GT, the menu item "Tabs on Top" vanishing in the View menu seems to be a Mozilla bug. I've had this myself when upgrading to 17.0. I resolved it this way:

    • Type about:config in the URL bar (no spaces)
    • confirm you'll be careful
    • scroll down to the browser.tabs.onTop entry and double-click it. It will switch the tab view. Double-click it again to switch back if you like.
    • The menu item will (hopefully) now be restored (you may have to re-start the browser).

Chis, I toggled the browser.tabs.onTop entry from true to false, the Tabs on Top selection now appears in the View menu,
    Thanks!!

Good to hear. If you have any further questions about this (or find a way to always reproduce this bug, which would help Mozilla fix it) just re-open this thread.
