Am getting a black screen when updating to 31.3 for a ppc7450
Have never had a problem updating since the beginning of TenFourFox. Have had good browsing with 31.2.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Is the entire screen black, or just the window? A screenshot would be handy.
I don't have any other reports of this problem, and I'm typing this reply to you on an iMac G4 (also 7450) in 31.3.

Hello, Cameron.
... And greetings to you and your 10.4Fx Support Team!
It's does seem quite telling that you don't have other reports of this
problem.
Here's what's been happening:
Every time the 31.3 update for ppc 7450 counts down to: "... your
download will start in 0 seconds"
--- the entire screen turns black except for the top site address line
above: "downloads.sourceforge.net/project/...iweb"
... but the Bookmarks Sidebar column stays visible to the left of the
screen.
If I deselect the Bookmarks Sidebar, the entire screen is black
(except for the same top address line).
Sorry. I'm forgotten how to take screen shots for email attachment.
I hope this clears up this mystery. Your help is much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello Again, Cameron.
I remembered how to do screenshots.
Here's the black screen that comes up with the download countdown for
the 10.4Fx 31.3 update for ppc 7450 "...your download will start in 0
seconds."
I have a 2002 MacG4 Quicksilver running Tiger. 933 MHz PowerPC G4 1.5
GB SDRAM. Using Terminal, I did it confirm as a 7450 build.
Hope this helps.
Many thanks.

That looks like SourceForge went wrong switching you to one of its mirrors. I'd just try downloading it again later.
While SourceForge is not great for file hosting (Google Code was a lot better), Google Code doesn't allow downloads anymore and SourceForge is the only site that can accommodate our volume of downloads that doesn't cost money.

Hi, Cameron.
So are you really saying I should "just try downloading it again later?". Such as just keep trying it? or what?
Or would it be possible to download the update other than thru the SourceForge mirrors? Just asking . . .

I would simply try again.
The files are too large and receive too many downloads to place on most hosting sites, including my own page; I would rapidly overwhelm the bandwidth I have available. 40MB a download times about 20,000 downloads a version is a lot of data and few sites offer it for free. I'm sorry SourceForge is being problematic for you, but that's the only realistic option I have right now.

I googled for available download sites, saw MacUpdate which I've used, and chose it for the 13.3 update. The zip file readily downloaded and unarchived. I then replaced the 31.2 browser in the Dock with the update. All's well.
Thank you Cameron for diagnosing my issue as a hosting one. Best regards to you and the Project.

Sorry. Of course that 13.3 typo should be 31.3 for the update.
