Can you be a bit more specific? What are you trying to do on Ebay that doesn't work? Do you get an error message?
Examples:
'I load ebay.com, and I get an empty page' 'I click "Buy" and I get this error message: …' 'When I do a search, the browser crashes'

Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-09T22:10:15Z2020-08-09T22:10:15ZTenFourFox and Ebay

Hi,

When I load ebay.com or ebay.ca only hyperlinks appear and they are
in a single row. No images, no ebay logo. Of course, when I do a
search, it gives results but without images.

The last time I went to ebay it was with TenFourFox V21 or 22 and it
works fine.

Don't know if it matters, my computer is on G5 processors.

Thank You

askanisontag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-09T22:49:01Z2020-08-09T22:49:01ZTenFourFox and Ebay

Please click Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled… and try to load ebay again.
Does it mean that I must always restart in safe mode to go to ebay?

askanisontag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-11T04:54:01Z2020-08-11T04:54:01ZTenFourFox and Ebay

I don't think so. You can re-start the browser (with Add-ons), then go to Tools > Add-ons and disable them one by one to see which one causes the probem. Likely one that blocks something, like an ad blocker or a script blocker.

Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-11T23:46:45Z2020-08-11T23:46:45ZTenFourFox and Ebay

The only add-ons / extension I have is the Garmin Communicator for my
when tenfourfox is in safe mode, Default is disabled (from the

Does it help?

askanisontag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-12T06:25:24Z2020-08-12T06:27:45ZTenFourFox and Ebay

Even though it says 'disabled', Default should still be the theme used in Safe Mode, I guess it basically means 'no theme' or 'bare bones' in this case.

Do you have a different theme active when TenFourFox is started in normal mode? Some older third-party themes ('personas') might be able to cause what you're seeing.

Also make sure when TenFourFox is started in normal mode, View > Page Style is using 'Basic Page Style' and nothing else.

If this doesn't help, please post a screenshot of ebay, including the complete browser window.

Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-12T21:26:54Z2020-08-12T21:26:54ZTenFourFox and Ebay

I don't have a theme.
TenFourFox has some trouble again with ebay. I customized the
change the history to "TenFourFox will: Never Remember History" in

Can you do something about that?
Thanks

askanisontag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-19T05:17:10Z2020-08-19T05:17:10ZTenFourFox and Ebay

The ebay preferences you altered may be stored in cookies. I'm also experiencing the same issue on another eBay-owned domain. This is caused by the « Tracking protection » of Firefox/TenFourFox (which is enabled by default in private browsing windows — open the console in the web inspector to see that the tracking protection is blocking eBay images (
https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/…
)).
After investigating, I found that this is caused by M1656968. This is « normally » fixed in the online database on which the tracking protection is depending (as this commit proves it) but the problem persits in TenFourFox.
I tried to regress this in Firefox. It works on Firefox 49 (on Mac OS X 10.9.5 (emulated)) and it doesn't work in Firefox 48.0.2 (on Mac OS X 10.8.5 (native)).
Unfortunately, I can't determine which « new feature » is causing this (the
browser.safebrowsing.provider.mozilla.updateURL
has the same format in both version, the declared
SAFEBROWSING_ID
is also the same (but differs from the TenFourFox one) and changing the reported version (in the URL) doesn't change things).

OlgaTParktag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-22T02:07:07Z2020-08-22T02:07:07ZTenFourFox and Ebay

Olga, can you give me an actual URL that doesn't work (as opposed to the image)? I looked at that bug and it implies gumtree is also affected, but images load fine there and on eBay on this G5. I'm logged into My eBay right now, and all my purchases and current auctions appear correctly with images.

Cameron Kaisertag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-23T00:45:34Z2020-08-23T00:45:35ZTenFourFox and Ebay

The domain in question is 2ememain.be. I have the same issue on the other domains listed in the previously mentioned commit, such as kijiji.ca, gumtree and eBay itself (tested on some Intel builds and on TenFourFoxG3 FPR26b1 under Rosetta, on a fresh profile, without jit).
Just to be sure: are you testing this in a private browsing window with the tracking protection enabled (« normal » browsing windows aren't affected — please also note that I'm browsing from Europe) ?

OlgaTParktag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-29T23:21:31Z2020-08-29T23:21:31ZTenFourFox and Ebay

I can reproduce it in a private window, but the original poster reported the issue in a regular one, so I think there are two separate concerns to be worked through. The private browsing window issue is #619 and can be followed up there.

Cameron Kaisertag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-08-30T05:18:57Z2020-08-30T05:19:00ZTenFourFox and Ebay

Hi Cameron,

I'm pretty sure askanison's issue is #619. Having a look at the left of the address bar in comment #9 screenshot, there's the little shield icon, which suggests tracking protection is just on browser-wide.

I enable it browser-wide as well, but for sites like ebay I just click on the shield and disable it in the pop-up temporarily.

Looking at comment #12, I think "Never remember history" always launch the browser in private mode, so every window is private. If not that.. on macrumors forums there's custom prefs.js available in sticky threads, and some do have privacy.trackingprotection.enabled set to true.

Raphael G.tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-09-03T03:10:21Z2020-09-03T03:10:21ZTenFourFox and Ebay

Olga has found the regression window and the patches in question, so we'll put it in to the next FPR and see if it sticks.

Cameron Kaisertag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-09-15T15:40:49Z2020-09-15T15:40:49ZTenFourFox and Ebay

This should be fixed in FPR27 beta 1: http://tenfourfox.blogspot.com/2020/09/tenfourfox-fpr27b1-available...

Cameron Kaisertag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-09-20T03:53:23Z2020-09-20T03:53:25ZTenFourFox and Ebay

This is fixed for me; I had to reset my profile before it took effect, though.

Raphaƫl Gtag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/485321012020-09-20T04:07:23Z2020-09-20T04:07:23ZTenFourFox and Ebay

Odd.
