I'm looking for something like Mailvelope...

    Looks like Mailvelope doesn't have an Fx45 compatible version, so that's out. It's too big a job for me to port myself; maybe this is a project someone(tm) might want to take on.

    I don't know of any others, unfortunately.

    Ignoring the cosmetic issue, does it actually function?

    I'm surprised if it does, because the github has binary components and they appear to be Intel-only.

    Is NPAPI supported by TFF?

    NPAPI isn't supported, no (it hasn't been officially supported since 6.0, and disabled completely with 19.0).
