'foxbox search box area' does not redraw

As the window is made smaller, the search box remains static and larger;
so this pushes the log-in/out user controls outside of the existing window.

If the search window in top of the FoxBox were to resize smaller, these
controls could remain available; especially when using the view allowed
when setup was to allow FoxBox to be used as regular browser in a site.

Thank you for your continued efforts & support for our PPC Macs.

A reasonable suggestion, but not one I have any control over. You'd have to ask Google about that.

The issue as I've seen it, the problem exists only in the FoxBox browser header
because others including full TenFourFox seem to have a movable search box.

When the page is made narrower, it worked in full TenFourFx browser; not @ Google.
At least yesterday when I made a few dozen FoxBoxes and tested each feature
in a variety of ways. The main browser when used for Gmail worked as expected.

However there have been a few changes at google in their mail among other
online features ~ and they are pushing their own brand now, above all others.

    At this time, I'm using a Late 2012 Mac mini i7 2.3GHz server w/ 10.11.6.
And each of the browsers available to me in this (three) each have varying
different issues with Google email. ~ The SeaMonkey features a text menubar
& no avatar the logout button redirects (as did FoxBox) to Google+ Discovery.

Safari renders oddly also. Tried to give me the Mobile browser in OS X 10.11.6...
Not satisfactory at all. Then when I changed it to Desktop, it gave me Basic HTML.

Thank you for getting back to me... :)

    Yet another inquiry:

    Riddle me this...

How can make a 'FoxBox for Gmail' inside the Guest User account
in Leopard 10.5.8, that would survive parameters of the temp user?

The default outdated Safari 5.0.6 being what it is, goes without saying.
So the FoxBox for Gmail could be an answer; there's not much else.
Tried a few things, parental controls & so on; unhappy with results.

    Thanks again!

    Hello, again:

Tried to directly email issues & images from two PPC G4 Macs running TenFourFox and FoxBox. The FoxBox issue using latest sample Box builds still renders search box area inflexible so the far right buttons to access User account in Gmail foxbox aren't available via recent TenFourFox build. But the browser itself when directly used to get gmail, does provide the flexibility and reduces its width so I can access those controls.

So especially in iBook G4 (mid 2005) 12-inch display, the tenfourfox/box for gmail is way too wide and cannot be made to fit; the answer is to launch the full browser (and this iBook G4 has been reverted to Tiger 10.4.11 as shipped; because it runs best.)

While in my Mac mini G4 (Late 2005) displays, their width is wide enough so the FoxBox/Gmail can be used because the screen is wide enough, in standard full resolution. But barely. Any narrower, and the scroll up/down also is compromised.

And like in the iBook G4 the user controls are crowded or off screen because of the FoxBox issue. A standard browser window does not do this; and will allow the search box in gmail to shrink to fit the narrowed window in both 10.5.8 & 10.4.11 in different hardware.

So the allegation this issue is a Google one, is not true; the render issue is TenFourFox/Box and is reproducible in two PPC Mac G4 builds and OS Xs.

Thought you should know, before you choose to ignore this factor.

And the attempt to email though not productive still has contents of
those two G4 and OS X system issues, with screen shots from a few
weeks ago. But didn't want to open foxbox gmail window to copy them
    for this separate venue.

    {{ And some of the page iconography still renders in odd hieroglyphs in TenFourFox on Apple site & others. Should I turn off the 'temporary fix' the about:config helped resolve in the earlier FireFox browser? Or did FPR_3 + 4 resolve this? I see the older settings were carried forward; so if that setting's no longer necessary (for this issue) can that be changed back?}}

Thank you for your continued helpful information in the blogs & discussions.

    Sincerely,

Been awhile since my discovery of issue in one of your pre-fabricated
TenFourFoxBoxes for use with Gmail; which has a fixed search box in
the header; while the main TenFourFox browser when directed to Gmail
and used to login, does not remain fixed and will allow the icon controls
on the right side plus scroll bar to be useful.

My troubleshooting also involved attempting to use (on gmail startup)
a reduced 'low bandwidth' user page. But the controls on log-out now
in tenfourfox and other mozilla browsers, take me to Google Discovery.
And there is no exit from there; except to choose another G-app service
and hope to find the correct click-on log out (as I've done several times.)

So in reduced size displays such as 12-inch iBook G4 mid-2005, tested
in Tiger 10.4.11, the TenFourFoxBox for Gmail does not redraw smaller
nor does it retract; so this too is a problem because controls such as the
Log-out cannot be used due to their being off the desktop. I can drag the
window way over so it's off the desktop the other way; then click to logout.

And in the Tiger version, the full TenFourFox browser works just fine. The
screen search bar will automatically re-size in Gmail; so this issue is not
one directly caused by Google in Gmail. It appears to be some obscure
defect in the TenFourFox/Box (as presented in your samples) as I've not
made my own just yet. I've too many offline things, taking care of ill parent
and the basics to survive. At least here, I'm no longer hauling water from
a stream, and not driving 30 miles to wash laundry. You've had it too easy.

So I've asked here and even attempted to write email directly to you. I had
not tried to address it to 'webmaster' yet. I have three email that I'd sent
but they're in your server, in limbo. They include newer screen shots; details
may be slightly incorrect there because of offline interruptions here.

And the tiny icons in web sites still are missing content; where there would be
an X in the site visited, there are tiny squares with numbers inside. Is this issue
due to fact, settings in "about: config" still remain set for the earlier font issue?

This is detail affects all those sites that have tiny icons, mostly observed in 10.5.8
because I'm using this Late 2005 Mac Mini 1.5GHz with Leopard -- more than my
    Late 2012 Mac Mini i7 quad-core server, which dual-boots 10.9.5/10.11.6. And
haven't time to get out the iBook G4 with Tiger TenFourFox, to test this, again.

Hopefully you may find the time to read these details and offer advice; perhaps
a newer version pre-made Foxbox for Gmail is available? ~ I've used the latest.

    Thank you for reading.

    In any event...
Good luck & happy trails! :)
