recently my personal research, which makes heavy use of data uris, has been setback by TenFourFox suddenly and inexplicably ceasing to support them.previously,an about:config change -- allowiing urlbarjs if i recall -- enabled them.

now i cannot find where the source of the change is, and must watch in dismay as all my data: uris are prefixed with a 'no,' and their source ravaged by missing '<'s.

please tell me how to remove whatever was installed. i don't want to have to roll back to an ancient version, or quit the browser altogether.

    never mind i found it:

    set "network.protocol-handler.external.data" to "false."

don't know why ii didn't see it before -

and more importantly, don't know how my config changed, since by habit i have updates disabled...

    surely operator error.

    be seeing you.
