Lost all bookmarks, won't save bookmarks -- latest TenFourFox version

Got home from a trip and husband says -- "all our browser bookmarks have disappeared." I had recently upgraded to newest version of TenFourFox running on a G5 Mac so figured he had somehow screwed up. Not. I re-bookmarked some important pages like Yahoo and when I quit the application, restarted computer and reopened, TenFourFox they had not been saved.

Okay, what do I do now?
