Clickable field invisible in TenFourFox but visible in old Safari
Hi, I'm very happy with TFF but have a little problem. To comment on a Head-Fi page I have to start my old Safari browser because I cannot see/use the "More" bar on that page. I attach two sreenshots.

BTW this also happens: No comment/reply box in Safari so I comment in TFF. But I cannot see my new comment in TFF so I have to look it up in Safari again. Funny that way ...

I can see and use the More bar and post a comment with TFF 38.8 without a problem. Are you sure you aren't hiding the bar with some content blocker or ad blocker? And of course you need to allow JavaScript for this bar to work, so please have a look at your Noscript rules or comparable extension settings. Or any settings that might prevent JavaScript from being executed on head-fi.org.

Hi Chris,
Yep, I allowed all scripts and disabled my ABP for that page. No cigar.
Some Head-Fi'er told me to restart my browser but that seems overkill. TFF
takes a long time to load and is not responsive for a minute or two. Safari
starts a lot quicker because I have only one window open there.
And I don't post comments on product review pages on a daily basis. The
reply function on normal Head-Fi threads works perfectly ...
Thanks for your quick response. Kind regards,
Jörg.

Then it must be something else in your settings. If you still want to find out, try to reset ("refresh") Tenfourfox in Help>Troubleshooting Information (this will remove all add-ons!). The browser taking a long time to start up sounds like your TFF installation might be in need of a refresh anyway. (Being slow/unresponsive for about 20 seconds after startup is normal and is actually part of the startup process.) Too many extensions will slow down the browser significantly, and it's always best to keep (or activate) only the ones you really need.

Hi Chris,
I restarted in Safe Mode w/o extensions and yep, the MORE bar is visible.
How can I find out which extension made that bar disappear? If I refresh
TFF do I have to put back my extensions one after the other or are they
still available? Or just restart with them all activated, then disable them
if the problem persists?
Thanks man.
Jörg.

In this case it's easy: You don't need to refresh the browser (you'd have to re-download and re-install your extensions after that): Just go to Tools>Add-ons instead and disable all extensions. Re-start. The bar should be visible. Now enable them one by one (restart if prompted), until the bar is gone again.

Hi Chris,
I isolated the offending extension, it was NoScript ver. 2.9.0.11 which
disables Java for quicker loading of pages. Even though I had the Head-Fi
site on its whitelist - all scripts allowed - it still broke the link to
the MORE bar but the disabling of the extension did the trick.
Now I'm looking for an alternative as I liked its function a lot.
Kind regards, Jörg.

That's one of the reasons I don't use NoScript anymore – too complicated. I use YesScript instead. It has a blacklist approach (as opposed to NoScript's whitelisting): Any site that takes a long time to load and doesn't need JavaScript except for ads and eye candy gets blacklisted. It's like a simplified version of NoScript minus the security advantage.

Thanx Chris, will try your alternative. Found NoScript also quite
cumbersome as I had to keep it turning off at many sites.
Great to have you guys to help us. Still love my good ole G4 MDD and you
keep it going.
Keep on keeping on as they used to sing ...
