Pretending to be a newer version (e.g. Firefox 45 Intel) helps in this case. Try the User Agent Switcher add-on.

    Hi Chris.
    Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately, that add-on doesn't get real great reviews (tedious?)
I know that Firefox 46.0 works with the weather.com site.
Is it likely that TenForFox will move to a comparable version soon?
    Thanks - Roy

It'll be a while until TFF 45 is ready. You can follow progress here
    http://tenfourfox.blogspot.com/

But the underlying problem (i.e. websites not being aware of Firefox ESR versions and declaring them "outdated" even though they are not) will remain. So it's always good to have a user agent switcher at hand.

There are other add-ons with similar functionality if you don't want to use User Agent Switcher. If you need help setting it up, just ask. It is a bit tedious, but once you're done you won't have to worry about it anymore. I've been using it for ages and it's perfectly reliable and safe.
