No longer can access Yahoo or Gmail on OSX 5.8
Using TFF 38.4
This just started up on Monday where yahoo asked to do a verification code, which it sent me message with code. (EX: On December 11, 2015 at 7:00 AM, you made a request to recover access to your Yahoo account.
TDXXWMPV is your verification code. Do not share this code outside of the Yahoo domain.) This happens every time I try to go look at yahoo email. Then when it sends me this message, I have to "Login" to my gmail account (every time) to receive this message. Only on my Mac. I can access both emails through Chromebook.
I even have tried older versions with TFF, same results. Yes, I have tried to change password and get same results there too. Tried to reboot TFF holding down Option key, nope. Have ran Norton, no virus or malware.
TFF had never done this before. Please help ASAP!

Helllo, It seems to me that this is a problem on Yahoo's side, their security measures going a bit overboard. BTW, I can access Yahoo Mail with TFF 38.4 just fine. You can try deleting all Yahoo cookies (Preferences>Privacy>SHow Cookies, then search for "yahoo"), then restart TFF and try again.

"...try deleting all Yahoo cookies (Preferences>Privacy>SHow Cookies, then search for "yahoo"), then restart TFF and try again."
Tried this twice, nothing. Still does this. Funny part is that I can access Yahoo Mail through Chromebook, Android, Safari, Opera, Windows, not TFF or FireFox. I wonder if Yahoo doesn't support older OSX systems? Currently, I am using OS 10.5.8 were I can't upgrade due to owning an older great Mac.
Wondering if I should trash TFF & Firefox, then reload back if that could help? Is it net provider TW Road Runner? What is going on?
FYI: Still have to reload Bookmarks that I saved every time as well.

Again, Yahoo works for me (38.4/38.5 on 10.5.8). All I can recommend now is to try a fresh user profile

For your bookmarks, see the FAQ. Running Firefox and TFF with the same user profile is not supported.

Still having some glitches after trying and now getting back into yahoo mail by saved password. Have new error message.
Yahoo error message:
secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to na.ads.yahoo.com. SSL received invalid NPN extension data. (Error code: ssl_error_next_protocol_data_invalid)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

That error can only occur if the data was corrupted from the remote server in transit. I don't use Yahoo! Mail, but I was not able to reproduce that error on any of Yahoo!'s regular ads (this is from an ad server they operate). I wonder if you are having trouble with your router or network.

I have a Mac OS 10.4.11, I can't access Gmail like I used to. I did get a message for a week or two that said Dmail does not support my browser. I have the latest version of TenFourFox. What's going on? I got TenFourFox mainly to be able to use my Gmail. Will this issue be fixed? Does anyone here know if there is a browser that supports Gmail?
