BIG problems with 38.2
I had to re-install the last version of TenFourFox because of two problems which I saw immediately. One is that everything is MUCH darker than in previous versions of this browser. I am a web designer and graphic artist, so this is no small issue. In addition, when I click on Windows in the tool bar, the other windows I have open are not listed, so I have no way to navigate between windows. I usually have at least 5 or 6 windows open at a time. Now I have the old version reinstalled, and I get prompt windows every few minutes telling me to get the new version. I am about to lose my mind here. HELP!

The change you may have noticed is that all graphics in the browser are now colour managed, not just tagged images. Colour management is fully ICC compliant, so you should make sure you are using the proper profile for your display device and that it is calibrated properly first. If you can't do this and simply want to return to the partial colour management in 31, open about:config and find the option gfx.color_management.mode, double click it, and set it to 2.
As for your second problem, the Windows menu appears normally on the test systems here. One user with a similar problem was able to fix it by resetting his profile -- see the link about resetting your profile at the lower right for instructions.

Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly. My monitor is
calibrated, but I am unfamiliar with color management. Never heard of it.
I will see about following your advice regarding the gfx color management
mode on the weekend when I have a little time. I literally don't have a
minute to spare until then. I do hope this works, as well as the Windows
problem, I'm not ready to jump to a newer Mac. The thought just makes me
cringe.
I'll let you know what happens.

I am using the proper profile for my monitor. I cannot find about:config
in my profile or the gfx.color_management.mode. Under troubleshooting I
find:
about:plugins
about:buildconfig
about:memory
please advise.

Hello webmistress, type
about:config
in the URL bar and hit Enter. Then type
gfx.color
in the search field.
