<p>Ten Four Fox wont open on my 1.6 Ghz G5. I switched to
TenFourFox from Safari Preferences, but Safari keeps itself as the
default browser instead.<br>
Can you help?<br>
Best regards</p></div>Julio Garciatag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/288722192013-10-15T11:54:21Z2013-10-15T11:54:21ZMy PowerMac G5<div><p>Hello Julio. Sorry for taking a bit to answer your two
questions.</p>
<p>1) Make sure you downloaded the correct version. Click <a href=
"http://tenfourfox.googlecode.com/files/TenFourFoxG5-17.0.9.app.zip">
http://tenfourfox.googlecode.com/files/TenFourFoxG5-17.0.9.app.zip</a>
and re-download the G5 version. Don't use a third-party utility to
unzip. Instead, right-click the downloaded .zip file, choose Open
With… and then "Archive Utility" (if you're on 10.5) or
"BomArchiveHelper" (if you're on 10.4). Move the resulting
"TenFourFoxG5" in you Applications Folder. It will replace any
older version of TFF there. If you have versions for other
processors in there (G3, 7450 etc.) you can delete those.
Double-click TenFourFoxG5 and see if it starts up correctly.</p>
<p>2) Close both TFF and Safari. Then open Safari, switch the
default browser to TFF in the Safari preferences. Close Safari and
re-open to see if the choice stuck.</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/288722192013-10-16T00:01:15Z2013-10-20T18:10:31ZMy PowerMac G5<div><p>that is great, thank you. will let you know as soon as i do it.

not opening? Or both?</p>
<p>Can you please click on the Apple menu top left on your screen,
choose "About this Mac" and tell me which processor you have? Or
post a screenshot of the window like I did.</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/288722192013-10-20T19:19:13Z2013-10-20T20:24:15ZMy PowerMac G5<div><p>both Chris, please attd find the screen shot<br>

10.4 (hence the name) or 10.5. That's why it doesn't start on your
Mac. I'm sorry I haven't got a better answer for you, but consider
upgrading to 10.4.11 or 10.5.8, which gives you better options for
software and will extend the usefull life of your Mac.</p></div>Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/288722192013-10-21T23:45:41Z2013-11-18T13:57:56ZMy PowerMac G5<div><p>my bad Chris, thank you very much.</p>
