Open link or html file in TFF version 9 and above
I have some http files and some saved webpages that I'd like to have open TenFourFox version 9 and above, and then have the saved file/link open in the browser automatically. Since 10.4.11 opens TenFourFox (TFF) and the file would be run by the binary "firefox", what do I set as my default browser? Thanks.

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

It depends on how you're opening the browser. If you just want to do this from the Finder's Set Info (Cmd-I), though, set it to TenFourFox. If you're doing this from some other environment, please be more specific.
