This is Off Topic request

I installed 6 GB of RAM in my G5 2.3 ghz running OSX 10.5.8.
now I have 8 GB!

I also bought a 500 GB SSD from OWC
and no matter what I've tried my G5 doesn't recognize it.

I have a SATA/USB adapter and formated the SSD
 - it works very slow on USB (copying etc),
but the G5 internal sata still won't recognize it at all even formatted.

I have 2 HDD and both boot and work.
I cloned my sys - partitioned - formatted as DOSfat32
I even booted from the original 10.4 DVD still nothing.

all systems go - just not this SSD

anyone have any ideas before I send it back?

Although I'm sorry to hear about your predicament, our free hosting at Tenderapp is contingent on restricting support directly to the browser so that we don't end up abusing their resources. You might ask on the PowerPC forum at Mac Rumors; there are many helpful people there.

yeah sorry - I figured alot of G5 people here maybe someone would share a lightbulb moment.

yes I've been there too, so this was a last chance effort.

    won't happen again

    thanx
