The differences that define the stable branch, and beta branch. Or, can we be sure they don't get mixed ?

I have read the Start page and the Help page for Ten For Fox and there is present some mis-description of these versions. Can these even be completely seperated so that we can have the - "prior to install"- knowledge of stability. I have tried multiple installs of 17.0, 24.0, 24.2, and I have not been yet able to rely on,( I think it's javascript ), for much longer that ~6,8 weeks per intall per version.

    Paul, I don't quite understand your question. Any version offered from the main TenFourFox page is the stable branch. We do issue updates for security and stability, but that's part of the normal support cycle.

    Hi Cameron Kaiser;
    I should have waited to post that new topic.
    Maybe you have not yet approved it. I don't know.
    At that time I was not getting my script or java to work all of the way.
    So, the TenF.F. displays lines - (all the buttons don't appear).
    However, I concluded that it was my OS that did not have good permiission
    organization. I only suspected it last, after checking every other fix. I
    re-install-repaired it, and re-intsalled TenFF and Javascript came back.
      But when I was looking for the answer on the Ten For Fox troubleshooting
    pages, I noticed that they had that conflict - the one that I posted in my
    new topic. (but I did not paste the paragraphs right there to show you
    specifically what I mean) The sentences left me with some confusion, I'm
    sorry but I did not make the note of those two paragraphs, and I have not
    been able to recall which two pages I found those terms,and not clearly
    defined - I lost track of them at the time. Now I need to look through
    them for a time and they are many pages for me. But, in time they will be
    edited or re-written . If I find them again I will make a note of them and
    let you know.
    I will be more careful about posting a New topic if I do again.
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi Cameron;
    I would not have been looking for that answer to my Java script
    question on the Ten-For-Fox help pages if I had only known that
    I just needed to stop using my own TenForFox page background color.
    I learned this experimenting with it. Whenever it is not allowed to use
    its own page color - it loses its icons, looks like TFF fails to show them.
    I was making this mistake for months. I did not know this. dah!
    I decided to send this e-mail just to let you know.

    I'm glad the issue was fixed by the settings change. I'll close this issue. No further reply is necessary. If you have additional concerns related to this, just reply; any reply will reopen this ticket.
