<p>1) The transition is in progress.</p>
<p>2) Probably not. Even though Netflix is going for HTML5 video,
they will still want copy control, and they are likely to implement
DRM through a new proposed standard called EME. Without getting
into the really gory details, EME requires components called
Content Decryption Modules to decrypt the video. These components
will almost certainly <em>not</em> be open source, nor compiled for
PowerPC, so we won't have any control over that. They might allow
non-premium content without EME, but I wouldn't hold my breath.</p></div>Cameron Kaiser
