Is it SAFE to do online banking business when using tenfourfox 10.0.4 as my browser?

Well, you can't go any safer than that on a PowerPC Mac running Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5. TenFourFox 10.0.4 has the latest security updates from the corresponding Firefox version. Also, since plugins are switched off by default, you're not vulnerable to Java/Flash/PDF reader etc. security holes. As long as you keep your passwords/pins/tans safe, and the banking site cares enough about security, it's generally safe. Personally, I do banking with TenFourFox, and I'd prefer that to a Windows machine any day.

The entire idea of TenFourFox is to have a browser that can still be used safely on Power Macs.

Like Chris, I also use it for my own banking and bill pay. It incorporates all Mozilla's security fixes and whatever other ways we can shore up the OS. Moreover, Apple's own tools no longer can build software for PowerPC, meaning malware authors have to jump through a lot of hoops to make malicious software for Power Macs.

There's no such thing as a completely safe system, but I am confident in this browser personally, and it's what I use for my secure tasks.
