I'm very new to TenFourFox (a few days) and have a question about the function of "unsorted bookmarks". If I save a bookmark there, it does not show up when I pull down the Bookmarks menu. The only way I can see what is in there is to look under "Show all bookmarks". Is this the way it is supposed to work ?

Hello Irene, yes, that's the way it's supposed to work. You can also just click "Unsorted Bookmarks" in the Bookmarks Menu. This will open the Library where you can sort your unsorted bookmarks into folders or delete them if you don't need them anymore. I see this as a "temp" folder, a way to force you to do some housekeeping every once in a while.

If you click on the star symbol in the URL bar (top right) once, the site you're on goes into Unsorted Bookmarks. If you click the star twice, you can sort the bookmark where it belongs right away.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for your clear explanation. I understand the logic behind unsorted bookmarks now. I guess I was used to seeing all my bookmarks in the bookmarks menu.

Want to thank you for TenFourFox. I do a lot of genealogy and a few weeks ago access to ancestry.com was broken for me (because of my OS, I believe).

Now I’m up and running again !

    Regards
    Irene

Glad to be of help and good to know you found a browser that works for you. I'll close this ticket, if you have any more questions about this topic, just re-open it.
