"firefox45"
After downloading most recent update and logging in to You Tube. I was notified later by Google security that someone logged in to my account with a new device using a "Firefox 45.0" browser. Is this in fact how websites identify my machine?

Yes. For compatibility reasons by default TenFourFox pretends to be Firefox 45, although we have some later enhancements the regular Fx45 doesn't have. If a site doesn't like this, you can always change it from the
Preferences
menu under theTenFourFox
pane.Support Staff 2 Posted by Cameron Kaiser on 01 Oct, 2017 03:27 AM
(And also see "Using the TenFourFox preference pane" at the lower right of this page.)
