Maintaining Firefox 3.6.26 while Using TenFourFox Version 10
I just got the update to TFF 10. As well, I continue to maintain FF 3 on my iMac G4/800 running Tiger. Just got the FF 3.6.26 update. As TFF 10 is my main browser, is it necessary to continue maintaining FF or can I uninstall it from my computer (As I recall TFF initially gets my FF profile to use in TFF)? Thanks.

Yes, you can delete Firefox safely if you do not intend to keep using it. Deleting Firefox from the Applications folder does not remove your profile (which TenFourFox uses).

Thanks Cameron for your prompt reply. I gather that even after removing FF3.6.26 from my Applications folder, my profile is kept in User/Library/Applications Support/ Firefox/Profiles? So then it is unnecessary to keep updating Firefox, Just keep the Profiles folder intact? Thanks, Ken.

Correct. To be honest, you wouldn't be able to update it for long anyway; the final version of Firefox will probably be 3.6.28.
