TFF6 still the recommended version for low memory systems?

I recall way back when TFF7 introduced a necessary increase in memory consumption to improve the JS engine. (stack frame size or something...)

Is this still the case for systems with less than 512MB ram?

Keep up the good work guys!

There is no "low memory" TenFourFox. Any machine that can run TenFourFox is capable of at least 512MB of memory (heck, even my beige 7300 OS 9 games machine has a gigabyte in it). The minimum is still 512MB.

Rather than using an old version, if you are unable to upgrade your system's memory, you could attempt to turn the JIT off in about:config by booting the browser in safe mode (hold down Option as it starts), then turning all the javascript.options.methodjit.* preferences to false and restarting the browser normally. However, I don't have any 256MB or 384MB systems to test against, so you're on your own.
