I'm about to update from TenFourFox 45.4.0 and I'm wanting to know which of the existing TenFourFox 45.4.0 application software which is already on my Mac OSX 10.4.11 should I then move to the trash. I have looked on the help website discussions and forum but haven't as yet come up with an answer to this. Some guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

You don't need to trash anything. The only thing that gets replaced is the actual application, "TenFourFoxXXXX.app", when you put the new version into your Applications folder. Just download and unzip it, then move it to your Applications folder.

Thanks Chris, when I last updated I put the unzipped application into the
applications folder but still had the zip icon
and the TenFourFox icon on the desktop. Can I bin these?

You can trash the zip file. TenFourFox7450 is the application, it goes into the Applications folder and should not be on the Desktop afterwards (move it, don't copy).

Thanks again Chris, I¹ve moved the existing application from the desktop
into the applications folder and I¹m assuming that when I download the
updated one, unzip and move the new application into the folder it will
    automatically replace the existing one??

Update now complete after third download and giving the computer a rest! The
zip file came through fine, unzipped and the application is in the apps
folder and working well. Thanks and keep up the good work at TenFourFox,
    it¹s appreciated.

Chris, sorry to bother you again, but when I¹ve downloaded I get this

And my computer tells me that it doesn¹t have an application to open this
    file.

As you saw previously, my last update was a proper zip file.
Be glad of any help with this one.
