Can you explain in more detail what exactly doesn't load on the page?
3 Posted by pjpreilly on 06 Dec, 2012 11:57 PM
The story doesn't load, did you try it on a non PPC machine? Ubuntu & Mac work on a Intel box.
4 Posted by pjpreilly on 07 Dec, 2012 12:04 AM
...actually 13 numbered pictures don't load.
Support Staff 5 Posted by Cameron Kaiser on 07 Dec, 2012 12:56 AM
This is a joke, right? In any case, I see 13 well-endowed award winning posteriors. You might also mention the link is a bit NSFW.
There was a flash (no pun intended) of an ad at the beginning, though, but AdBlock Plus navigated around it.

(well, 14, counting the doubles pic)

I would never kid about Bumbums! Mine doesn't load even in safe mode. It flashes up then disappears never to be seen again. Safari, iCab, Camino & even Aurora exhibit the same behavior on G4 PPC 10.5. Hmmmmm never had this problem with Bumbums disappearing before. This is happening with all the WWN stories too.

Screenshot would help (which would be SFW since you can't see anything ;) ).

Still a little Bumbum comes thru!
10 Posted by pjpreilly on 07 Dec, 2012 02:52 AM
So I turned off AdblockPlus and I had to watch this video to unlock the page, I think this is geographically selected since there were adds for a local mall. What filter are you subscribed to in AddBlockPlus?
Support Staff 11 Posted by Cameron Kaiser on 07 Dec, 2012 02:59 AM
Well, you're on Aurora, also. Does it still misbehave with TenFourFox 17 stable?
I'm just using EasyList.

Browser independent! I have to disable adblockplus....and watch the video....but it won't play unless I click play in the context menu.....not flash or html5 video..WTF!
Support Staff 13 Posted by Cameron Kaiser on 07 Dec, 2012 03:55 AM
In that case, if you need bumbum that badly, there is plenty in this video:

You could also just disable JavaScript for that website (temporarily in Preferences>Content, or with an Add-on like NoScript or YesScript). Voila, instant bumbum. Enjoy.
15 Posted by pjpreilly on 07 Dec, 2012 12:36 PM
That works! Why is this only happening on G4 & not my Intels (Linux & Mac)? I need Bumbum on my G4!
Support Staff 16 Posted by Chris (chtrusch... on 07 Dec, 2012 01:13 PM
When the Altivec Unit was bolted onto the G3 to make it a G4, Apple hid an undocumented Censorship Unit right under it. Also the website in question isn't just full of bumbum, it's also full of markup and CSS errors, so the combination of all this is probably a bit much for your old Mac.

Apple's CU never kicked in before!
18 Posted by pjpreilly on 07 Dec, 2012 02:05 PM
....The CU must be Bumbum specific......written in BumbumScript!
Support Staff 19 Posted by Cameron Kaiser on 07 Dec, 2012 02:48 PM
Jokes aside, you do have a lot of addons loaded. Are you sure one of them isn't interfering? Tab Mix Plus caused a lot of trouble for 17, for example.

Looks like the CU working on this page.

I can confirm that this is some sort of issue related to their Genesis Media ad provider. WWN was one of the first things I had visited with TFF 17 (I think Bat Boy made me do it…) and I spent a while befuddled and wrestling with the page.
Once I blocked the domain (at the DNS level; running one's own DNS is not a terrible idea when you have multiple "underpowered" systems and all these media-rich advertisements) loading the Genesis Media ad (I blocked Genesis Media for good measure, too), the pages loaded snappily.
If you can't/won't/whatever block at the DNS level, ABP/NoScript/etc. would probably be your only way to view WWN using TFF, as noted above. (I think it worked fine for me in Safari, but I can't swear to it. That would indicate that the ad requires Flash, and perhaps some User Agent trickery might also work as I can't imagine they'd ignore the bulk of mobile devices.)
As for the addon red herring, note that I had seen this on a fresh TFF 17 on a fresh reinstall of the OS, so I can confirm it happened without any third-party addons.
