I used Wix on TenFourFox for a class assignment, and it didn't block me. (It's pretty glacial on anything less than a G5, but it does work.)
A screenshot of what you're seeing might help.

As soon as I click on the "sign in" pane a grey veil fall over the window and it freezes. I'm using a loaded G5 quad so I think we're good there. Thanks.

I was able to sign in successfully tonight, even on this iMac G4, so I can't reproduce that here. I'd look at addons or your profile as a starting point.
