whe trying to download add-ons
When trying to install some add-ons, Ten Four Fox will give me this message in a pop up:
"Ten Four Fox prevented this site
(services.addons.mozilla.org) from asking you to
install software on my computer"
I had pressed the ADD-ONS manager. the window dor that selection opened on top of my home page.
there were 4 options:
Get Add-ons
Extensions
Apperance
Services
I clicked on the 1st on, "Get Add-ons"
A bunch of suggested add-ons and themes were displayed. I then clicked on the INSTALL Add-on button for a recommended app of which I can't recall its exact name but it was an add-on that improved your You Tube experience and allowed HIGH DEF viewing and HIG DEF was the name of the app... I think.
Why would it give that message:
"Ten Four Fox prevented this site
(services.addons.mozilla.org) from asking you to
install software on my computer"
when I was only taking the advice of adding that add-on. I could not get it to down load... I guess because I needed to be at that web site????
Other add-ons jump instantly to where I need to be and lets me install the add-on???? HELP
I do not under stand that message, that is .. I dont see the need for Fire Fox Ten browser to prevent me from installing an add-on that the browsers "INSTALL ADD-ON" pop up recommended for me to install????
WHATS GOING ON WITH THAT MESSAGE????????
I have an 06' G5 QUAD core with each CPU running at 2.5ghz and 4 GB of RAM and OSX 10.5 Leopard is my operating system. It is literally the last series of the G5's as it is one of the few G5's factory (APPLE) installed liquid cooled CPU's system.
I have the most currant Version of Fire Fox Ten (38.2.1).
Why is this happening. Does it mean that certain ADD-ONS are not going to work... If so why recommend it to me???

Hello Daniel, Some add-ons aren't going to work because they contain executables that are compiled for the x86 platform (meaning you need an Intel Mac to run them). The recommendations you see are Mozilla's, not ours.
Please see this Mozilla help article for answers to your questions:
