P.S. The Python issue could be handled a couple of different ways. Either one could simply make it known that users need to download/install Python 2.7.8 to use the video playback feature,

OR Better Yet,

you could bundle just the Python interpreter into TFF and then modify the script-string to use the bunded version (this has some nice benefits, because it would not interfere with Macports/Homebrew. Sadly, the built in Python in Tiger, while technically compatible is very buggy (numerous problems logged into youtube-dl issues).
