It looks like you haven't started Firefox in a while.

I get this message every time I start TenFourFox. Even if I previously started it mere hours earlier. How is "a while" defined, anyway?"

   Thanks! It was a different path for my .parentlock file, but I found
   it and 'touch'ing it appears to have done the trick. :-)

   For me the path was
   ~Library/Firefox/Profiles/default/profilename.slt/.parentlock
