My bank detects something wrong even when changing user agent
French bank (https://www.banquepopulaire.fr/se-connecter/identifier) says "unsupported old browser" with default user agent but seems to work ok with FF52 and up, but after entering my credentials (identifier + virtual numeric keypad) I get a message saying "something unexpected happened, retry later" — and of course 'later' never comes... ;-)
It used to work until a few months ago when they applied the new DSP2 European security policy.
Note that I get the same error when using any browser on 10.6 (TFF or Arctic Fox).
Is there anything I can try, like spoofing the referer or else?

Here's the error message I get (I obviously masked data containing IDs ;-) )
From what I understand: https://www.banquepopulaire.fr should pass the connection data to https://www.icgauth.banquepopulaire.fr (appearing briefly in the url area on a working browser, say FFx 78) which then opens https://www.ibps.nord.banquepopulaire.fr after validation ("nord" being one of the national servers, depending on the region you live in).
So it looks like TFF and friends fail to send or receive data to/from icgauth or something similar...

I get the same error in Waterfox Classic. It looks like both TenFourFox (based on Firefox 45) and WFC (based on FF 56) are missing some key functionality which must have been introduced after FF 56. Possibly something to do with handling cross-origin requests, at least that's the one big red error I see in the console. The login works in FF 91 (it tells me my credentials are insufficient, of course). So, for once, the banking site was probably right to tell you the browser you're using is unsupported.

Thanks Chris!
Bad news, then... Luckily my mother's bank is more permissive than mine and as she's the main user of that Mac Mini, she'll be able to keep on using it for some time.
