TFF FPR 27 and 28 won't load YouTube, hangs at "shaded boxes and circles."
Hello, all.
The subject pretty much sums things up. There is no "hung script notice" or any other hints as to what is causing this.
Any advice?

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

Are you using the default user agent - if you use something like IE11 Youtube will no longer load?

I just loaded youtube.com, a youtube profile site and a single youtube video site on my G3 400 MHz PowerBook with TFF FPR 28. It's not lightning fast but it works even on one of the slowest possible machines TFF can run on. Aside from a 'wrong' useragent string there may also be somthing in your browser profile that blocks youtube scripts or content.
