Unfortunately, It only works when my computer is in the Safe Mode. In the normal mode, I can’t open any web pages. It says “connecting” and just keeps cranking.

Also, when I go to quit, I need to use Force Quit. I’ve run a couple of disk permission repair utilities with no success. Is there any other utility I should use?

Michael Lattimertag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/474121382019-07-07T07:40:02Z2019-07-07T07:40:02ZTenFourFox v14.1 only works in Safe Mode

I'd start looking for network configurations, kernel extensions or applications that would load at normal startup, but don't when booting into safe mode. There must be something preventing network access for TFF or even all programs. Do other web browsers work in normal boot?

Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/474121382019-07-07T21:59:16Z2019-07-07T21:59:17ZTenFourFox v14.1 only works in Safe Mode

Hi Chris, Thank you for your input. Unfortunately, I’m not very tech savvy and don’t really understand your first sentence. Is there some way or a program that can check the network configurations you mentioned?
I don’t have any other browsers that work. Until they stopped being supported, I used FireFox and Safari. As you know these don’t work on a G5 iMac anymore. This is why I was so excited that TFF might work.

First we need to figure out whether this is a problem TenFourFox has exclusively (i.e. relevant for this forum), or if it's a problem with your Mac OS X installation (i.e. not so relevant for this forum).

Step 1: With your Mac booted normally, please open Safari and go to google.com. Does the search page load as it should?

Chris (chtrusch)tag:tenfourfox.tenderapp.com,2012-01-07:Comment/474121382019-07-08T23:46:06Z2019-07-08T23:46:07ZTenFourFox v14.1 only works in Safe Mode

As I mentioned, neither Safari nor FireFox have worked on my iMac for awhile which is why I changed to TTF.

I copied the failure reports for TTF and Safari and have attached them. I have no idea what they mean. Maybe you do.
Thank you.

• Apple Hardware Test (on the install CDs/DVDs that came with the Mac origininally); if OK: • Create a new OS X user (System Preferences>Accounts>click the + at the bottom left; if the problem persists there -> re-install the OS

Chris (chtrusch)
