I also was having font issues with Intuit's Turbotax website, so I was viewing the page without page style (view>no page style) and could read the website in one column down the left side. It was rough and old-school, but I still could read and click on links. Once I started my intuit account the prompt came up that I would need to upgrade the browser.
Their "Recommended Minimum Computer Hardware" are as follows:
Processor: Core Duo or higher RAM: 1 GB Monitor: 1024x768 or higher screen resolution High-Speed Internet Connection

I have tenfourfox on my iBook G4, so will I have to admit defeat and pull out my windows 8 asus laptop (boo hoo :( )

Dana, what happens if you do the following two steps and then try again at Turbotax?

    1) In about:config (type it in URL bar) set gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled to false
    2) In Preferences > TenFourFox set User Agent to Firefox 52.

@Cameron, turbotax.intuit.com is a candidate for the font blacklist, I guess.

Yes, but only certain fonts? There are some already blacklisted.
