Max'd out RAM but TFF 45.19.0 Still as Slow

I just upgraded my 768 MB of ram in a 1.5 GHz eMac to 2 GB of RAM.
but it has made no difference to the slow jerky speed of TenFourFox.

I still have version 38,5 and it works quicker and smoother for videos, but won't play music videos.
TFF version 45.19.0 will play music videos but all the function leading up to the playing of a YouTube song are jerky and slow.

Safari was always smooth and fast for these videos, like the Hawaii Dolphin Rescue for instance but suddenly stopped playing any videos.

So I have the videos back again, but too slow and jerky to be enjoyable anymore.

Is there an update or hopefully a bug fix for 45.19.0??

Is there something I'm not getting . . . like VRAM deficiency or something . . . (?)

Thanks,
Terry

There are some things you can do:

    1) Close all background tabs that have activity going on.
    2) Stop the video immediately and only hit Play again when the page has fully loaded and the video has fully buffered.
    3) Try reducing the video resolution to 144p and then go up to the maximum resolution you find acceptable performance-wise.
    4) Add this to the video URL:
    &disable_polymer=1
This will give you the classic YouTube layout (as long as it's still available), which doesn't help with video performance per se, but the page loads a lot quicker.

Safari 5 with the latest version of Leopard Webkit (10.5 only) has no problems playing YouTube videos. It also struggles with the new layout, but since it has hardware video support it will simply start playing the video smoothly even while the processor is trying to cope with the page layout.
