The 'machine' command is meant to be entered in the Terminal. The Termianl is in Applications>Utilities (or just do a Spotlight search for Terminal.app).

Thank you for that and for some reason it would not show and then
after some more tries it showed as 7450.
Its great we have this browser and it has helped but the videos of the
tube are really not doing well.
I have 512 Ram memory but i think I will get the 1 x 2 gb Ram.

Mr Richardson

Glad it worked.
TenFourFox doesn't have hardware video support (like Safari has), therefore you might want to switch to a lower resolution (240p or 144p) on YouTube.
Installing more RAM is a very good decision, this really helps.

I have two and safari won't allow it and yet I then tried on the mac

won't allow it now and yet it was only on the 6th that this was

Richard, are you sure that your system is functioning properly? These symptoms sound quite bizarre. TenFourFox should have no problem downloading itself, either. If you like, please post a screenshot of whatever error message you're getting.

Dear Cameron Kaiser,
it could be as the you tube on the 10.4.11 Safari used to be okay, a
bit slow, but now the you tube page loads with all the other
information but the screen remains just blank so maybe this could be
the Safari. But then why on the other unit as well as you tube on that
is the same.
Maybe its a system provider that could be the problem.
Will try again and send you the info.

can you explain the difference between the Download
7450 G4e to click on
and
TenFourFox Downloader
that is for PowerMacs only
does Power Mac mean Powerbook G4 as that is what I have but its a PC
When I click on this then it begins to download on the newer version
Mac which is a 2007 and yet the 2005 PowerBook G4 was with the 7450
G4e download.

Here are the options you have:
Use another computer (a current Mac or Windows PC) to download the .zip file, and copy it to your Power Mac on a CD or USB drive. You don't need to use a Power Mac to download TenFourFox, just to run it.
Use a computer with TenFourFox (versions 31-45.x or any FPR version) to download the .zip file, and copy it in the same way.
Use the TenFourFox Downloader. The Downloader only works on Power Macs. The TenFourFox website should detect that you are using an older version of Safari and offer a link to the Downloader. The Downloader does not require a secure connection to download it. Get the Downloader, open the .dmg and run the application inside. The Downloader will figure out the correct version and securely download TenFourFox. Once this is done, then you can just use TenFourFox to download future versions.

so I have two
PowerBook G4
a 2005 and 2007
the 2005 had TenFourFox onto it via clicking on 7450 G4e
and yet the 2007 this would not happen
both are 7450
and both are Safari 10.4.11

There is no such thing as a 2007 PowerBook G4. If your year is correct, that is an Intel MacBook of some derivation. TenFourFox is not intended for Intel Macs.

if I need to how do I remove tenfourfox from the computer.

2007 is the copyright date for that version of Mac OS X, not the date of the computer's manufacture. I don't understand what you mean by "this would not happen." Do you get an error message? What exactly does the computer do when you try to install it?
You can simply remove TenFourFox by dragging it from
/Applicationsto the trash can. There is no uninstallation procedure.15 Posted by Richard Richard... on 18 Apr, 2018 12:25 AM
the message on the Safari page says that it can't connect to the
server sourceforge securely, thats all and its on the safari page
after i tried to download.
the tenfourfox was downloaded into the other mac using just the download.

Richard: that is what the Downloader is for. To explain as simply as I can:
Go to http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/ using Safari from that computer.
The site should detect you are using Safari and offer a link for the Downloader.
Click on the Downloader link to download it.
Double click the .dmg to open it.
Double click the Downloader application inside of the disk image.
Select the location to download TenFourFox to.
If this doesn't work, or doesn't make sense, you'll need to use another computer to do the download; I'm not sure what more I can do to help.

thats okay, done all this and its okay now.
But for some reasons both Mac's are the same and yet when tenfourfox
was downloaded i could use the 7450 G4 e click
but on the other Mac had to use downloader. Not sure why there was a
difference when both are 7450.
