Facebooks Script: static.xx.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v2iaFb4/yl/l/en_US/ERgeefh6OP_.js:122
Hello, I use TenFourFox 17.0.11 because my old G4 Mac's 10.4.11 OS won't take any newer browser version. Anyway, for some time now when I'm logging onto Facebook, that website begins downloading a script: static.xx.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v2iaFb4/yl/l/en_US/ERgeefh6OP_.js:122
It really slows things down, so when the window drops down asking (paraphrased since I can't open it now) "Do you want to STOP the script"static.xx......" or CONTINUE" I usually hit STOP, which usually helps some.. The window has a box that can be checked that says "Don't Ask Me Anymore". Yesterday I clicked that for the first time. It now runs much slower, often leading me to Force Quit. My question is: How do I get the box to drop down again so that I can use the STOP choice?

Hello Michael, do this:
Type about:config in the URL bar, hit return, confirm that you'll be careful
Type dom.max into the search filter
Right-click dom.max_script_run_time and choose Reset
BTW please update to the latest TFF version here
http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
Your 10.4.11 Mac will run it, and Facebook will be faster with this newer and more secure version.

about:config
Yep, I'll be careful. By the way, I thought I had lost you and went
off and found a TenFourFox 45.4.0 Version. I haven't installed it yet
so I'll go ahead and try your directions.

Oh. Am I supposed to use this email to communicate. By the way, I'm
pretty inept at this particular thing so if I lose track of you, I'm
at [email blocked] and (901) 379-8979

Hi Chris,
What page should I be looking at? I don't see a link.

Hi Chris,
When I clicked on the link below, it wouldn't low. Is that the correct link?

HERE'S THE MESSAGE I GOT.

Link is correct. Maybe a network issue. Just try again in a few minutes.

No luck. What do you think Chris, does a switch to the newer 45.4.0
(if I can't get this going) sound like a low risk move?
Back to the current plan for a minute. What is the most typical fix
to undoing turning a window off by clicking on the message "Do give
this message anymore" (paraphrased)?

I noted the steps in my first reply. As soon as dom.max_script_run_time is reset, you'll see the slow script warning again.
Switching to TFF FPR1 (latest version) isn't a problem. You might want to back-up your bookmarks first.

Hi Chris,
It looks like I'm out of action. It won't open. This is a fairly
common problem. Too bad it's happening right now. There' no obvious
reason such a firewall, etc. for this.

I opened another window and pasted the link in it but no dice. The
hermaphrodite!

Hey Chris,
I opened Facebook because I was beginning to wonder where you were
entering the command that worked and suddenly the window opened. Then
I clicked Stop and it did then disappeared. Problem solved. I damned
sure won't screw with that again. Cool! Thanks man.
Hey. Where are you anyway?

By the way, this is some Facebook cookie/ad/photo etc. loading script
that apparently causes slowing in a lot of computers. It's a pain in
the but, but now once again manageable.
What do you think, give the TenFourFox 45.5.0 a try?
