* i had the same problem with an earlier version of tenfoourfox. although i have bookmarked ><, the site which actually shows up is ><. even if i delete that address and click or write in the correct one, it still goes to the address. * i have gone through the tenfour preferences and i do not find anything that i can change to not allow tenfour to use my physical location, as i know some sites can do that and it's usually a user option. * an earlier solution was to use >< which i have entered in preferences as my home page when i open tenfour. however, it only works once in awhile, usually indicating the site cannot be found. if i manually enter it, it does go there, more often than not. * any other suggestions? i feel like i am missing something in the preferences for tenfour. i have even checked the preferences for my imac g5 and did not find that location option there - or didn't recognize it! * thanks for your help again. regards. \ tom scaletta

    I'm sorry, I don't know what else to advise than what I wrote in the original thread. There is no preference for this in TenFourFox. It's a location redirect done by the server. If the server is wrong about your location there's nothing you can do except going to directly. It still works here, but may stop working in the future.

    Just a thought. Go here:
    What does it say about your Country?

    * thanks for at least calming my fear that i was missing something.
    * i take it from your reply that the yahoo server is doing this. however, it only does this with tenfourfox on the g5. on the macbook the redirect is less consistent and for some reason easier to change to the correct yahoo version.
    * maybe i'll try to deal with yahoo preferences. not confident that will solve much as it is now part of verizon and i was never impressed with verizon and its service when i lived in the u.s.
    * thanks again. \\ tom
