tenfourfox opens for a few minutes and then closes suddenly
Hi guys, I'm having a bit of a problem. I downloaded TenFourFox G3 for my Mac OS 10.4.11. When opened, it bounces in the dock for several seconds and struggles to open. If it does open, it opens for about a minute and then will suddenly shut down and remove itself from the dock. Any ideas?

This is a startup crash. Is this an Intel Mac or a Power Mac? (You can find this out from going to the Apple Menu and selecting About This Mac.) If it's an Intel Mac, please note that we don't officially support Intel Macs, but there is a workaround you can find in the FAQ (linked from the bottom right of this page).
If this is a Power Mac, what type of Power Mac?
Also, please do the following:
Start
Console.app
(it's usually inApplications
,Utilities
).Click the Clear button in the Console window.
Start TenFourFox and let the icon disappear.
Paste what appears in the Console window here.

Hi Cameron, thanks for your response!
It is an Intel Mac- I couldn't locate the workaround but I will definitely search for it again. here is the information that you requested:

I don't see anything related to TenFourFox in that, so I assume this is the same typical startup crash many Intel users observe. Here is a direct link.

Please note that we neither build for nor test with Intel Macs, so this is about as much help as I can offer.

Hey!
Thanks for your response! Actually, the workaround worked perfectly and it's running faster than Safari!
Such a relief! All I wanted to do was open up Google Calendar.
Thanks again!

Good to hear!
Please note that we never try to intentionally break Intel Mac users who have managed to get TenFourFox running on their computers, but there's always the chance that could happen by accident. But I'm happy to hear it's working for you, so I will close this ticket.
