Hello Luke, click TenFourFox>About TenFourFox in the Menu bar. Does it say 45.8.0?
TenFourFox plays web.m HTML5 video, which means it will play about everything on Youtube. It doesn't play H.264 HTML5 video. For some Youtube videos uploaded less than a few hours ago you may need to wait a bit until Youtube has finished encoding them to web.m. If the browser doesn't play any Youtube video, something is clearly wrong with your installation. Please check on the version first, then we'll see what can be done.

Hi Chris, right yeah the version of tenfourfox is 45.7.0. After what you said the YouTube videos were recent uploads that I was testing on the Mac so that could explain it. I guess I'm pretty much upto date then?

I've tried to download update 45x. The progress bar activates, counts down but no file downloads. I've clicked the "direct link" option but am not sure what to select from the table that comes up.
I'm now running 38x.
I've tried this before. The message box "strongly" urging me to update appears frequently.
How shall I proceed?

http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/ then scroll down to 'It’s easy to upgrade.', select your processor and download should begin automatically on sourceforge.net. Click the download arrow (see attached screenshot) to watch the progress. If that doesn't work, please report back and we'll find a solution.

Still no go. I've tried via both Google and Yahoo. The green progress
bar that counts down the seconds goes to zero and the Source Forge
list of versions comes up, but a message comes up in the burgundy
colored download panel (under the arrow) that "the fpr4/TenFourFox
file could not be found or is not available".
I still cannot reproduce this. Even if I use TenFourFox 38, I can download all processor versions without a problem.
I do see the message
'The "/fpr4/TenFourFox7400..downloadpostdownload' file could not be found or is not available. Please select another file.'
when the download has finished, but this does not affect the download per se.
I'm not sure, though, what you mean by
'I've tried via both Google and Yahoo.'
None of these are necessary or involved in the steps to download the browser.
Please try the following:
• Try downloading the file with Safari
• In TenFourFox, go to Preferences>General and check where downloaded files are saved.
• In TenFourfox, go to Help>Troubleshooting Information>Refresh TenFourFox. This will remove add-ons and reset custom settings that might interfer with the download.
