G4
I have a Power Mac G4 someone was giving away - trying to put a browser that is actually useable on it to get some use of the the machine.
It's a 7450 machine, so I'm downloading the G4e file. After download, the application won't open. It jumps up and down once or twice in my dock before disappearing.

Sorry. It's a 7400 machine. I download the non-G4e file. Same result.

Non-expert user here to kibbitz without advice: 7400 works well on my Cube, Do other browsers fail to launch? Safari, Opera, RealPlayer (with its inadvisbale Flash)?

Safari and Firefox (at least old versions) work "fine". Slow and fail to display pages correctly, but successfully load and do browser stuff.

Startup crashes are usually hardware or OS related. Is your G4 running at least 10.4.11? Does the system have at least 512MB of physical RAM?
If the answer to both is yes, start Applications > Utilities > Console.app, note the current point, and then start TenFourFox. See what new debugging information appears. If you can't make sense of it, post it here (just the new items that appear when you attempt to start the browser, NOT the entire console log).
