38.9.0 not connecting to internet.
I haven't used the app before but TenFourFox7450 installed fine on 933 MHz powerpc G4 running 10.5.8. The clunky old safari connects fine, but tenfourfox always has 'unable to connect' dialogue in the open tab. I'm not using any firewall settings nor any configured proxies.
Have reset profile, which through up a folder called 'old firefox data'(firefox app not on ibook anymore) Still no joy!
Any suggestions will be much appreciated?

1) Quit TenFourFox.
2) Delete (or move to the Desktop) the Firefox folder from
Macintosh HD>users>[your name]>Library>Application Support.
3) Go to
Macintosh HD>users>[your name]>Library>Caches and delete the Firefox folder.
4) Start TenFourFox.
If this doesn't help, re-download TenFourFox7450 and re-install it.

Cheers Chris. Carried out your suggestions. Alas, still getting the 'unable to connect' dialogue in the open tab, before and after a reinstall. Tried an earlier version 24.7.0 with same result. Safari 4.0.2 connecting fine, machine using ethernet to access internet, with an automatically configured IPv4 using DHCP. Would tenfourfox and safari's interaction with the systems network preferences be any different?

Then the problem is in your Mac OS X installation or user account. Create a new Mac OS X user account and try TFF over there.

All good now. Thanks. New user revealed old version of a certain network monitor app. which I thought was switched off. Why all outward connections from firefox were blocked... who knows.
