And then suddenly, all my bookmarks disappeared
No problems at all using TenFourFox, through to the latest update (however many weeks or days ago that was) 38.6.0 for G5. No problems at all today...
...until sometime in the past hour, when all of a sudden, since the last time i quit the program, my bookmarks have all disappeared. Apparently permanently.
I'm unsure what to do about this. Or even why it happened. I had accidentally mis-clicked the Namaroka icon on the bottom task bar next to it, and closed it immediately. Why that would be a problem, I don't know, but It doesn't show bookmarks either anymore.
Also, when I start up TenFourFox now, it always goes to the following error page: http://www.tenfourfox.com/site.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/start/en-US/firefox/38.6.0/whatsnew/from/rv:1.9.2.28
I didn't have a home page set, and still don't.

I should add that I was able to successfully restore bookmarks from the Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Stardropdown menu, which included two backups for today (for no clear reason), the first of which was corrupted and smaller in size: 87.3 KB and no items compared to 101 KB and 313 items.
The icons have not returned for the bookmarks (mostly), but if they don't that isn't a big deal.

1.9.2.28 is Firefox 3.6.28 ("Namoroka" being its codename). By starting 3.6 inadvertently, you have probably corrupted your profile. We warn people about this in the release notes, and we never supported switching back and forth. For more information, see this thread: http://tenfourfox.tenderapp.com/discussions/problems/6477-bookmarks
As you already discovered, you can probably restore your bookmarks from an automatic backup by going to Show All Bookmarks, clicking the star icon, and choosing a backup point from the Restore item. The corrupted one probably resulted from starting up after accidentally running 3.6. The icons will return as you start browsing to those sites again and they become cached once more.
I'm not sure what's up with the start page, but that looks like something your ISP may have inserted as we don't run a Windows ASP site. The home page can be reset from the preferences panel.
