Sorry to hear you've had issues and also need Flash player.

For some content, you could try & enable or use HTML5 content
as some sites use that now and provide non-Flash content. My
G4 PPC Macs do not have Flash player installed, but run 10FourFx.

There had been a product, a hacked version of Flash Player for older
Mac OS X (mostly for PPC users) that now does not even have a site
to download the files anymore; the NorKril scriptogram 11.5 Flash is
no longer available, and their web page has an explanation why, here:
    http://scriptogr.am/nordkril/post/adobe-flash-11.5-for-powerpc

Somewhere I probably have an offline archive of the custom patch
since I have a few older PPC G4s that had run Tiger 10.4 that are
sitting around needing repair/parts or voodoo magic rites, etc.

There had been a way to use the existing old flash player in earlier
TenFourFox version browsers, but not for awhile. I have saved most
of the past installer download .zip files for versions of TenFourFox
but their use has not been recommended due to security issues.

Perhaps there may be a way to use HTML5; I'd originally chose to
try to use that by selecting a tool online that let me change settings
in the browser at that time. I seldom use Flash. In some cases the
youtube video content works without it, so long as HTML5 does it.

Sorry to not have a reliable answer for your situation.
    Good luck in this matter...!

PS: there may be way to download the patched outdated Flash for PPC Mac
from another site; though I'm not too keen on doing so because it'd outdated.

A link from the LowEndMac shows up in mouse-over of blue text to what had
been a download archive not at the scriptogram site; note detail from 2013 here:
    http://lowendmac.com/2013/flash-11-hack-for-powerpc-updated-to-11-7/
which points to a zip file link: http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip

There is no likelihood of the vintage flash player/hack supporting modern web
page demand for a current Flash Player version. While another trickery method
may be made to attempt to make a new patch, the effort may be for nothing.
This suggestion and other bits, found after another search...

Not sure what else you may try if the last patch to make older (must already be
in your computer, for you to alter its content, to build a patch) does not work.
And by work, I do not mean that it would actually satisfy any lacking security.

Anyway, thought I'd get back to you on this. Cameron may be able to direct you
further or suggest if there is a way for you to try to proceed. Flash isn't supported.

    Otherwise...
Good luck & happy computing! :)

    hello fine people.
utube seems to be using something called html5 as their latest format for videos.
first there was one that i could not view but now it is getting so that i can not get the news in full because of the new format. is there an add on to support the html5 viewer?
please email me if there is a solution.

Sorry my friend if you want to run TFF on PPC with flash the last version you could do that with is TFF17 I would not recommend that as it's a major security hole. If you absolutely must run flash just use Safari like I do and you may need one of the hacked flash plugins to spoof the version number for things to work right.

The YouTube HTML5 web player information may be found
to see if your browser supports, or not, can be seen here:
    https://www.youtube.com/html5

    {See below for info on QuickTime Enabler, with link to page.}

Later builds of browser offer varying degrees of support
for those versions of HTML5 player. -- There was a separate
A separate item for use with TenFourFox that allowed video
content to be viewed after downloading through QuickTime.
This enabler appears on file in the downloads section:
    https://github.com/classilla/tenfourfox/wiki/QuickTimeEnabler

Older unsupported (security-risk) versions of TenFourFox:
    https://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/downloads/list

As stated, older versions are not recommended, and if you
chose the correct build TenFourFox download (current) for
the computer processor series, it should work; and so far
the TenFourFox version for slow (867MHz or slower) PPC
or G3 version if not early G4, should work OK with Tiger.

Good luck in this matter...! :)

If you were not able to try & enable TenFourFox or work around
the HTML5, quicktime enabler for viewing video content, or
the other ideas given, it would seem my time is wasted here, &
as such my best course of action is to disconnect from replies
in my email... However since this thread is open for a time to
visitors who may have similar issues, I had offered ideas.

You could seek another browser such as iCab and pay to use it
and then perhaps their support people may update its security.

    In any event...
Good luck & happy computing! :)

Hugo, I'm sorry to inform you that BBC iPlayer needs Flash. There is no way currently to view iPlayer content with Tenfourfox. You'll probably have to re-install Safari
    For 10.5: http://supportdownload.apple.com/download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/Mac_OS_X/downloads/041-5122.20110720.2HQcx/Safari5.0.6Leopard.dmg
    For 10.4: http://appldnld.apple.com/Safari4/061-9485.20101118.Vfr455/Safari4.1.3Tiger.dmg

Galen, it would be helpful if you provided links to Youtube videos you can't view with Tenfourfox 38.x. Some may be Flash only, some may be HTML5 H264. Tenfourfox can play HTML5 webm video, which covers most of Youtube.

i have taken your advice and am using the safari for play back . i also have a copy of camino and it may play the html5 but you have to stay on top of it to advance the play back. safari is ok but it dose crash after a time and that is the reason that i sought out the tenfourfox. i did not have luck with the enabler as you have to download the file before viewing and i am removed from the computer as much as i can be. i put up the news on a playlist so that i can listen to it during the day. in my view it is a crime on society to make it so only the most current applications can play the news. this is in fact a form of censorship. thank you for your information i do like the tenfour fox and thank you for your work in keeping my fifteen year old mac online.
