I can confirm the crash with TFF 24.3.0 and 24.2.0. Disabling JS makes no difference.
17.0.11 doesn't crash. Investigating regression window. Attached crash log.
Thanks for reporting, jvgoransson.

TFF 24.3.0 on my Pismo (G3, 10.4.11) does not crash. I get this interesting warning (screenshot). On the iBook (G3, 10.4.11), which doesn't have PS installed, I still get the Bad Font warning, but with the location "font file $C".

Crashes on G4/10.5.8 start with 24.0.b1. 17 to 22 are fine.

I receive the same warning and my systems do not crash, but all my systems are 10.4, just like your G3 systems. jvgoransson, is this 10.5? Chris, were your crashes on 10.5?
If you set gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled to false (change it back when you're done), does the site load normally?
Support Staff 7 Posted by Chris (chtrusch... on 05 Mar, 2014 02:46 PM
Yes, crashes are on 10.5 only, it seems. Site loads normally with gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled set to false.

jvgoransson, can you check on your system as well?
I'm not sure what changed in the regression range (they all use the same version of OTS, so this must be the alterations in gfxMacFont), but one bandaid is just to reject the font name, since it doesn't look like any of our systems can display it anyway.

I can confirm that disabling the gfx.downloadable on my system works. I don't know how i affects any of my other sites but on prisjakt.nu it works and for now that's what counts

Thanks. The workaround should really be used just for this particular site, since it will affect how other websites appear. However, you can turn it on or off at will; it won't hurt anything otherwise.
The problem appears to be an ATSUI incompatibility with this webfont. 10.5 is known to have issues in that regard. Since neither 10.4 nor 10.5 can actually display it properly anyway, the solution will be to blacklist it before it becomes activated. This is a little involved, so it may take one or two versions to fix completely.
This problem has been accepted to the worklist as http://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/issues/detail?id=261 -- please follow along there if you prefer.
