Plugin for Streaming Audio?

Many online streaming music sites are using a format that TFF seemingly does not recognize. What plugins do you recommend for 10.5.8 and latest TFF? I have latest QuickTime and VLC apps but these are not plugins.
Also, what is are the work-around options for Flash enabled websites?

    Can you be more specific?

    MP3 support is coming to a future version of TenFourFox 38 which may improve this problem. There is no ETA, however.
