EBay Messages not accessible in TenFourFox 38.2.0

Using TenFourFox 38.2.0 (PM G5 DP 2.3 GHz, 500 GB start-up drive - enabled Add-ons attached), eBay software function appears to be normal, excepting eBay Messages. When link to Messages from anywhere in eBay's web software, a SIGNIN window is linked. When SIGNIN Password and UserName are completed correctly, and the SIGIN single-click button is clicked, the SIGNIN window becomes and remains a "SIGNIN" closed loop. I can create messages by way of CONTACT link within an auction. I can read the Message when eBay's Message notification arrives in my email account FROM MY EMAIL ACCOUNT. I can reply to the Message FROM MY EMAIL ACCOUNT.

EBay Messages link is fully accessible from Safari.

I have deleted cookies - no effect.
I have turned off Add-ons one-by-one - no effect.
I have Run DiskWarrior 4.0 and TechTool Pro 5 to repair/maintain and optimize my hard drive - no effect.
I have run ClamXV 2.2.1 and always run ClamXV Sentry - nothing amiss within any software.

This specific problem has not occurred when using any previous version of TenFourFox - including ALL previous versions of 38.x.x.

Is this merely an annoying bug that I must live with until subsequent revisions, or the upcoming major change? Or is there a possible remedy that I have overlooked?

I corresponded with a gentleman over an eBay purchase just last week over eBay messages, so I can't replicate that here. 38.2 has no changes that would have affected this in any meaningful way. I'd look at a clean profile or "Reset TenFourFox" -- see How to reset your profile at lower right.

Problem is solved. Horrendous smoke kept me indoors. After resetting, I transferred all of the obvious "user" files back. Among things found were some Add-ons had updated. That change harmed nothing and probably helped.

I used a back-up drive's browser profile as my "source." I tested eBay Messages for whether problem suddenly disappeared. Then I removed a single file from the new profile folder and tested (I believe this is how Conflict Catcher worked) eBay Messages. If problem persisted the file was returned. If problem was gone, THAT was the problem. Eventually I found when "cookies.sqlite" or "cookies.sqlite-wal" - I cannot recall which of these was the problem - was removed from the folder, problem was gone. I then replaced the file [version] that TenFourFox recreated upon starting that particular test with the same file from my back-up drive. The retest was successful, and nearly all nuances and "bells and whistles" I had created over the years were retained. The only feature that I have found to require doing again is all my passwords to SIGNIN for all places that require a SIGNIN needed to be reinstalled. Not much of an inconvenience.
